this year no Shimano Polygon bike? :(

Iowa_BB61 - March 16, 2010 12:15 PM (GMT)
Could it be a USAF F-15?

Spotter - April 10, 2010 06:58 AM (GMT)
Yes, it's correct.

This will be the first public unveil of the F-15SG.

Some of us would remember the Milnuts outing for F-16D Blk52+ first unveil.....at this event too... That year was a bonus: virtually all the RSAF types were on display.

One more thing.....stated in the rules:
•No telephoto lenses are to be brought into the Air Base.

That is your choice to make, it is not easy to cycle there unless you live nearby. Most people piggyback their bicycles onto/into their vehicles to go there for sun and fun.

Options for bicycle carrying devices for vehicles try popular brands Saris or Thule.

Me no vehicle to transport bicycle. So i suppose most MN go to take pictures and not actually riding right?

If so then i will join.

The rules say no telephoto lens, so if i have a Olympus SP-800UZ compact cam with a maximum focal length of 840mm, is it ok?

Actually for the compact cam, it just says 30x zoom and 5.0 to 150 mm though the 35mm equivalent focal length is 28 to 840mm so I was just wondering what is their definition of "telephoto lens". Does it apply to DSLR, compact cams or both?

FIVE-TWO - June 18, 2010 01:28 PM (GMT)
the word telephoto refers to the focal length, regardless what body it is attached to. anything from roughly 70mm onwards (in 35mm format equivalent) is considered telephoto. so 840mm is super super telephoto liaoz

conversely, anything roughly 35mm and less would be called wide. this naming is because the natural human eye focal length, at around 50mm is considered "normal".

Some pixs of the eagle. The crew on duty were fantastic, bringing us on a guided tour and showing us every nook and cranny of the bird. Kudos to them!
