Description: Weapons

The Taiwanese Air force uses Mirages, F16s and IDF (their own locally developed fighter).

They also have locally developed missle. I wonder how they interface their weapons together. If the Taiwanese are able to use the French missles on their F16 or American missle on their Rafale, then our RSAF should not have any problem having inter operable weapons between our US and French made jets.

The Taiwanese use different BVR AAMs for all 3 different fighters, MICAs for Mirage 2000s, AIM-120 for F-16s and their Skybow(?) for IDFs.

AFAIK none are cross-integrated with each other. They seem happy to keep it that way, which given Taiwan's position, makes a hell lot of sense to get their weapons from different sources.

Theres a lesson for us in there somewhere.

But they sure have quite advanced missile technologies. Singapore lacks in this area.... How I wish if ST starts producing an license built Python 4 and 5, and a few years later, Derby.
